The federal government has chosen to observe Martyrs' Day, according to the private TV station Geo News. The nation's commitment to maintaining the honour and dignity of those who gave their lives in defence of the country will be reaffirmed on this day.
On May 25, protests will be staged in this regard. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other federal officials will attend the special demonstration as well, but no decision regarding the public holiday on that day could be made by the federal government.
